Exercise Science

The study of exercise science is a growing field that involves multidisciplinary efforts among exercise physiologists, physicians, nurses, athletic trainers, physical therapists, and other health professionals. The discipline draws on knowledge from anatomy, physiology, sociology, and related fields to address the many specialty areas of professional practices and research. It is a career field that requires professionals who have the special qualities of analytical thinking, insight, and strong interpersonal skills.

Your interest and professional objectives help determine the sequence of courses to be taken. Students with unique interests may combine various fields to create a special major with approval from the program director and dean of the college.
