Division of Business and Economics

homeworkTransylvania's Business and Economics Division offers learning opportunities not always found at a liberal arts college.

In addition to the division's majors, the general courses required of all Transylvania students let you gain a well-rounded education in traditional liberal arts like political science, English, drama, and psychology, among many others. As a result, you will graduate with a broad liberal education, a firm foundation in your business or economics major, and specialized preparation for a particular business career.

This combination of solid business training in a liberal arts environment reflects contemporary trends in business and economics, in which employers are looking beyond technical training to hire thoughtful people talented in critical writing and analytical thinking.

Majors available within this division are accounting, business administration, and economics.
