Transylvania Treasures
Transylvania's Special Collections, housed in the J. Douglas Gay Jr./Frances Carrick Thomas Library, and the Moosnick Medical and Science Museum both include distinctive items that are part of Transylvania’s remarkable history as the first college west of the Allegheny Mountains.
Periodically the university publishes a visually opulent magazine that offers a glimpse into these collections. Transylvania Treasures features stories about some of the unusual items, as well as the people who helped make Transylvania the flourishing, vibrant liberal arts college that it is today.
